At first, I didn’t know who she was, but when the lecturers on my campus talked about her, I started to get interested in her. Aprillia Dwi Maharani, or April, is an excellent story writer who is low-profile and full of ideas. I have seen a drama project she has made with her friends in which she became the scriptwriter. The story she developed was brilliant, so the characters could play it impressively.

Her writing journey began during the pandemic when everything had to move online. Such boredom attacked her, and she had to see another figure of herself. She then prepared for all the changes, challenges, and opportunities. Afterwards, writing offered her new experience, enjoyment, and hope. That’s how everything went as it did.

Diverse diction makes her motivated to reach for the hidden talent she has. It shows how unique and readable her words are. That’s how she always tries to experiment with various expressions, characters, storylines, and so forth. Happy and sad feelings always come to and fro when she can finish her stories. Even she can cry to find that she is part of them, playing a cheerful character. No words she can speak but tears she drops. It symbolises the sweetness and bitterness of the passion she tries to make real.

A writer’s block is a common obstacle in writing. It often makes her stuck and trapped in nowhere. But she always tries to keep on. One of the ways to overcome it is by reading and looking for more references. She also uses Oscar Wilde’s way of writing as one of the favourites she adapts. Concerning the growth of the digital era, she prefers to meet it by writing and posting her stories on online platforms to grab a global readership. As time passed, I felt she had deep thinking and talk. Her eyes stared at a distance, trying to figure out a situation and pouring it into her imagination. And I’m sure it will be a great story someday because she is a fabulous and talented writer. (Brev)
