Purwokerto-25 September 2021: Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) held the 67th online and offline graduation. The graduation ceremony was held at Mas Mansoer Field, Campus I of UMP, attended by 1,342 graduates. Six hundred eighty-three of them participated at the graduation offline by meeting strict health protocols, namely wearing masks, making physical distance, and doing an antigen or swab test. Meanwhile, online graduations ran through the Zoom application for those far from universities and from different countries.

 

 

Nine students of the English Literature study program also attended the event. They were Luh Mutia Maharani Pratiwi, S.S , Laelatul Abidah, S.S , Maulidiana Sakinah, S.S , Fina Khanifah, S.S , Friska Oktaviani Yashinta, S.S , Jodi Reza Ramadhani, S.S , Rifki Fajar Oktavian, S.S , Gama Seva Maulana, S.S , Dwiki Purnama Gita, S.S. Four of them graduated with cum laude predicate.

 

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Letters, Ambar Pujiyatno, S.S, M.Hum. conveyed his message and hope. “After graduating, all graduates can immediately get better jobs, while carrying their identity as alumni of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, namely excellent, modern, and Islamic. The graduates should be able to compete with others in the wider modern society, take advantage of technological growth and keep applying Islamic values in their workplace”. Ambar added that they should be able to inspire juniors in terms of finishing a study on time. In addition, he said that they should cooperate with the faculty and become agents of information and publications. Furthermore, Fitri Rakhmawati, S.S, M.Pd., the Head of English Literature Study Program, also stated that the graduates could apply for proper jobs, maintain communication, and contribute to the institution.
